Sinulog festival colors Dubai for the third time

The Sinulog beat is on in Dubai!

Bringing a piece of home to Filipinos in the UAE, the United Cebuanos will stage the highly anticipated “Sinulog sa UAE” festival for the third year in a row.

With a wide range of activities for revelers young and old, the Sinulog sa UAE will fill the air with the festive vibe on January 16, 10 AM onwards at Al Safa Stadium in Dubai. The festival is open to everyone from all nationalities who want to enjoy one full day of merrymaking. Entrance fee is only AED 20.

Watch exhilarating dance performances from premier Filipino organizations in the UAE. Cheer for the lovely ladies in the much-awaited Sinulog Festival Queen competition. Bustling bazaars, henna and face painting booths, fun games, music and dancing, photo competitions, and more surprises also await everyone.

In the Philippines, the Sinulog is a world-renowned cultural and religious festival held annually in the city of Cebu every third Sunday of January. This year, the Sinulog in Cebu celebrations are already underway.

Dubbed the “Mother of All Philippine Festivals,” it is the biggest and grandest Filipino celebration. Locals and tourists from all over the world flock to the Philippine city every year to witness the extraordinary event and join in the festivities.

In the UAE, the Sinulog is largely a showcase of the vibrant and colorful Filipino culture, spreading joy to all the Filipinos and other foreign nationals in the emirates. It carries with it the timeless theme of unity, “One Beat. One Dance. One Vision.”

The United Cebuanos-UAE is a civic organization of active professional and non-professional Cebuanos who are residing and working in the UAE. Volunteering their time and talents, they held the first Sinulog Festival in 2013, and aim to make it bigger and better every year with the support of generous sponsors and partners.
