Dance with the Dubai Fountain

One of Dubai's most famous attractions is the breathtaking Dubai Fountain. Comfortably nestled at the backyard of the city's largest and tallest structures, the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain is a fond favorite among tourists, residents, and locals alike.

Dubbed as the largest choreographed fountain system in the world, the Dubai Fountain was designed by California-based WET Design, the same company who created the equally stunning fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas.

Dancing to a diversed selection of songs from different countries of the world, the fountain, with its 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors, is 902 feet long and shoots water up to 500 feet high in the air.

Daily performances come at 30-minute intervals starting at noon until late evening. Inaugurated on May 8, 2009, the mesmerizing Dubai Fountain is definitely one of the must-see attractions in this vibrant metropolis.

Check out this preview of one of the shows. However, it does not do justice to how truly amazing the real spectacle is. Best head down to the Dubai Fountain, and experience it for yourself.
